MIDLAND, Texas House Bill 2692 is no more. The bill to ban high levels of nuclear waste has been derailed. It was co-authored by Representative Brooks Landgraf. Representative Tom Craddick has not been in favor of the bill from the outset.
Other leaders in the community are also in opposition to the bill. This includes Tommy Taylor, director of oil and gas development for Fasken Oil and Ranch.
A license to store high levels of radioactive waste is inching its way towards approval. However, Taylor felt that the bill introduced by Landgraf wouldn t be able to do much. ....

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Alabama Congressman Mo Brooks said there is no chance he will resign from his position, despite increasing demand from officials across the state.
Including local presidents with the NAACP chapters across North Alabama.
Local NAACP presidents want congress to step in and expel Representative Brooks if he doesn’t voluntarily resign.
They drafted a resolution calling for the resignation citing the embarrassment and harm they believe he caused the state of Alabama. ....

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Congressman Mo Brooks said there is a zero percent chance he will resign from his position despite ongoing calls from officials across the state and the country.
Brooks told our Kate Smith he did nothing wrong and he is being falsely accused of bad conduct.
Mo Brooks gave us a ten-page paper explaining why he believes the accusations that he incited the riots are false. He said his remarks were clearly designed to reinvigorate people for the 2022 election cycle. ....
