The teams were chosen out of a total of 12 teams that competed in the Te Haka a Toi - Mataatua me Tākitimu ki Tauranga Secondary School Regional Kapahaka last Friday. The regional event saw thousands flock to the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre to connect and be inspired by powerful performances. 12 school teams from across the Bay of Plenty took the stage to perform to see who would qualify to compete at the National Secondary Schools Kapahaka, which will be held in 2022 at Auckland’s Spark Arena. ....
