Residents of Kashi woke up to pleasant weather on Thursday with clouds and gusty winds bringing some respite from the hot and humid conditions. Many other districts of the eastern UP also experienced pleasant weather conditions, with rainfall occurring in few districts. In Varanasi, strong winds and dust storms swept the city in the morning hours. However, according to IMD, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 42 degree Celsius, which was 1.6 degree more than the normal temperature in Varanasi. The minimum temperature was 27.6 degree Celsius, while the relative humidity was 69%. Ballia district, which recorded 10 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, had a partly cloudy sky. In Mirzapur district, one person died and another got injured at Chehra village under Jigna police station due to falling of trees on Wednesday night. The deceased identified as Sanju (19) and injured Ramlal were residents of Renukoot. Both were labourers.
