Reni Shemwell hit a home run off the left field foul pole in the bottom of the first to give the Lady Colonels a 1-0 lead that stood until the fourth inning when the Lady Marshals scored four times and added three more in the fifth. Shemwell and Chloe Craft had four of Christian County’s six hits while Riley Hancock took the pitching loss. Christian County is now 18-9 while Marshall County improved to 20-10. Elsewhere: Hopkinsville run ruled Fort Campbell 22-9 in 6 innings. The Lady Tigers improved to 5-10 on the season while the Lady Falcons fell to 5-13. ....

Pickle Winkler hit a grand slam home run, Reni Shemwell also homered and Riley Hancock and Gracie Harned combined to pitch a no hitter. Christian County improved to 16-5 and 3-0 in the district while UHA fell to 4-6 and 1-2 in the district. The Lady Colonels host Crittenden County Thursday while UHA travels to Fort Campbell. Hopkinsville clinched the number two seed in the 8th district tournament with a 5-2 victory over Fort Campbell. Hopkinsville improved to 4-8 and 2-1 in the district while Fort Campbell fell to 5-11 and wraps up district play 0-3. The Lady Tigers visit Trigg County tomorrow. ....
