The Province of Ontario and the County of Renfrew are working together to support essential and critical service workers during the COVID-19 outbreak by providing emergency child care.
This service is currently available until Jan. 22, but the spaces would continue be available if remote learning is extended, according to Judy Mulvihill, manager of the county’s child care and early years division. During the provincial lockdown period, emergency childcare services will be available for designated essential service providers who are not able to accommodate their school-aged child’s learning or care at home. The County of Renfrew is partnered with the Renfrew County and District Health Unit to ensure the protection and safety of the children, parents and staff in these centres.
