And finally in the attachment 20526k13 and 16, which were adopted at the last Board Meeting were inadvertently left in the group of ks. They will be removed from the group of attachments. That is it. All right. Please recall that we are also voting on the k resolutions voted on at the last meeting and guard forwarded to this meeting. Any items removed from First Reading by the board. I wanted to respond to that because i didnt think there was a conclusion of charter 54 being a chart er school association. Even through the process, people werent involved, families werent involved, the union wasnt involved. It was district led. A many of our chiefs were involved. I do appreciate the prosperity in the entire process. Its very clear for us to understand how you went about it. I think we have a lot of power in our school district. Making this decision in house without even working with an outside organization. For me its what the messaging is when we are connected, whether we want to admit it or not and whether that was the only option that we had come to us, what is the message if we do work with these organizations and really following the money. We know that within child supporter School Associations that funding ends up hurting school systems. For me, im trying to be open of anything i support, whether its through my funding or not, that im trying to help, and wheth

Police and staff who were attacked by gunman this morning in virginia. Several members of this committee were there. This is a sad day for our country. We still dont have all the details but we do know that there are those who want to use acts of violence to create chaos , to disrupt our democracy. The American People will not let them when. So after deliberation with the Ranking Member, we have decided to proceed. The secretary has a very challenging schedule. Given the circumstances of the delayed start of our hearing, i want to appeal to members who intend to use less than their full five minutes so that more of our colleagues have a chance to speak and i will be abbreviating my Opening Statement. The men and women that not only protect us, but all across this country, protect not only communities across the country, but men and women around the world protecting who we are. You know, i have stated this previously in committee. A world led by American Leadership is a better world and we can see that if we look back on the second half of the 20th century and the post world order. American leadership, leading with our values, with our morals has created a better world and most around the world recognize that. Secretary. But as members of congress who have a responsibility for setting priorities, et cetera, i have grave concerns and can ta
