Kota Kinabalu: A Deputy Director of Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) was charged with three counts of submitting false claims amounting to RM3,990.
Syahruddin Muhd Saleh, 40, pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manat, Friday, to three charges against him.
On the first to third counts, Syahruddin is accused of producing three claim documents which contained false details, namely receipts under The Mark’s Lodge dated June 13, 2014 amounting to RM2,000, 178-Advertising Sdn Bhd dated June 12, 2014 amounting to RM290 and Business Machines Service Centre dated June 11, 2014 amounting RM1,700. ....

Kota Kinabalu: A man and a woman were fined RM24,000 and RM17,000, respectively for using fake bank statements to obtain a contract amounting RM1.278 million  to supply cooked food to a school hostel in Pitas.
Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manat handed the sentence to Mohd Zul Azri Abd Shani, 41, and Linah Adou, 43, who pleaded guilty to the charges against them, Friday.
Mohd Zul on the first to third count, was fined RM8,000 or four months’ jail for each charge while, Linah on the first charge, was fined RM5,000 in default three months’ jail, and for the second and third charge, was fined RM6,000 or spend three months in prison each. ....
