There is escalation. There are reports that now 22 americans have been killed in this unfolding israelhamas war. Youre seeing gaza pitch dark because gaza is under a blackout. 17 of those are still unaccounted for and feared held hostage in gaza. The shelling tonight there intensifying. to reconstitute and get bigger. there is not a lot of reinstruction. they are dealing with their own political mess. these visits are about the troops. it s not unprecedented that they would not meet with an iraqi leader. the message that president trump gave to the troops was unprecedent and talking about the border wall and misled them about military raises. he said it was 10%. exactly. he is having trouble with his message here. the iraqis are having a problem with their political message. it left a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of iraqis. if the president s plan is to take troops out of syria, use iraq as the bouncing off place for lack of a better term. he needs them not to be upset.
another step in that obstruction case. really quickly, really quickly, last night we did hear from one of the jurors on the paul manafort case. let s listen very quickly. we all tried to convince her to look at the paper trail, we laid it out in front of her again and again and she still said that she had a reasonable doubt. and that s the way the jury worked. we didn t want it to be hung, so we tried for an extended period of time to convince her, but in the end, she held out and that s why we have ten counts that did not get a verdict. this is one juror, shan, saying that there was one holdout on the ten counts that were hung there. but we also learned some other fascinating things from this juror. what did you take from her comments? that makes a lot of sense. and when we saw that first note, that s what many of us thought was going on, is they needed a reinstruction on reasonable doubt to convince somebody. and that it really shows the
children. that blaze broke out shortly after midnight yesterday morning and ripped through kay malone s two-story home. ma lone s 8-year-old daughter saved herself and hurt 4-year-old and 5-year-old brothers by carrying them out to safety. now both boys are fighting for their lives. president obama signed a proclamation in the civil rights district being called a national monument. this now includes an abandoned hotel where martin luther king planned demonstrations and the children where four young girls were kill in a bombing. president obama named two more monuments, one in east alabama honoring the freedom riders, and the other in coastal south carolina paying tribute to freed slaves in the reconstruction era. this is the first national monument dedicated to reinstruction. a nice story there. bill, what do we have for weather? a lot of interesting things. d.c. this weekend could be interesting. saturday we ll get a wintry mix,
