Leigh Kenny who is the Regional Clinical Manager at Pieta explains how people experiencing suicidal thoughts or self-harming can engage with Pieta, what their supports look like as well as offering practical advice for friends and family hoping to support a loved one in crisis.
One of Pieta s Ambassadors, Lawson Mpame, shares his experience of being a textbook bottler when it came to sharing his feelings with others and how this led to frightening thoughts of suicide. Lawson sought help for his depression and with the help of a supportive friend group, he is now committed to being open and honest about how he’s feeling, while encouraging others to do the same. ....
