The Region VII Area Agency on Aging is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Caseville American Legion Hall on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
The clinic includes free vaccinations for area residents who are 18 or older and will feature at least one version of the available vaccines.
“The only vaccine we’ll guarantee to be available is the Moderna vaccine,” said Nathaniel Bergman, a pharmacist with the agency. “It’s possible the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available, but we can’t say for sure at this point.” ....

Region VII Area Agency on Aging will have a food giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ruth.
This is for people age 60 and older. Each person must provide their name, address, phone number and date of birth.
Availability is on a first come first served basis. Only one box will be given to each qualified individual. The food boxes will contain chicken patties, meatballs, dairy products and produce.

HURON COUNTY The Region VII Area Agency on Aging is the latest organization announcing it is willing to help give COVID-19 vaccines to Huron County residents.
Dr. Ed Canfield, a Sebewaing physician who also serves as the medical director for Region VII, said the agency was asked by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to be a vaccine provider. The agency is working on arrangements where Region VII nurses will assist the health department in its 10-county coverage area in giving vaccinations, particularly to homebound seniors who are unable to get vaccines at a pharmacy, doctor’s office, or the health department. ....
