Just 12 minutes ago, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Tocache, Region de San Martin, Peru. The tremor was recorded early morning on Monday 10 May 2021 at 1:30 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 143 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Loboyacu (pop. 450) located 1 km from the epicenter, Tocache (pop. 29,000) 16 km away, and Uchiza (pop. 17,700) 23 km away.

Just 10 minutes ago, a 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Moyobamba, Region de San Martin, Peru. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Monday 8 February 2021 at 8:40 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 5.1 earthquake.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc. ....
