Lorne Allan Aston was born in Lloydminster, Sask on June 26, 1934 and passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with his family by his side, December 13, 2020.
Lorne was a Physical Education Teacher and Department Head at Sheldon – Williams Collegiate Regina, Sask from 1957 – 1980. Years 1980 through 1987 he was the Commissioner of Athletics for the Regina High School Athletic Association. Lorne spent seventeen years as the Senior Boys Basketball Coach with his teams winning numerous leagues, city, and provincial championships. They went on eighteen invitational tournaments including five championships at the prestigious Bedford Road Tournament in Saskatoon, Sask. For twenty years Lorne spent his Sunday afternoons teaching a handicapped swim senior program.
