Professor Ernest Ofori Asamoah, incoming President of the Regent University College, has reiterated that the overall goal of Universities was to generate knowledge, disseminate information and provide community service through teaching, research and socio-cultural engagements.
He explained that the University was achieving these goals through international partnership, research, development of relevant academic programmes and the implementation of technology in teaching and learning processes.
Prof. Asamoah stated at the 14th graduation ceremony of the college in Accra to celebrate students, who have successfully met the academic and extracurricular requirements for graduation. ....

Regent University holds 14th graduation
Regent University College of Science and Technology held its 14
th Graduation Ceremony on December 19, 2020 at the forecourt of the Regent Campus in McCarthy Hill, Accra.
Addressing a limited congregation, incoming-President of Regent University Prof. Ernest Ofori Asamoah, emphasized the overall goal of Universities, which is to “generate knowledge, disseminate knowledge universally and provide community service through teaching, research and socio-cultural engagements with the community for public good.”
He highlighted how Regent was achieving these objectives through research, international partnerships, the development of relevant academic programmes, and the adoption of technology in teaching and learning.
In the area of research, Prof. Asamoah announced that Regent was among fourteen institutions in Africa, and the only institution in Ghana selected to host a Malaria Research Project. ....

Graduates have been urged to be agents of change in the real world after completing school.
The purpose of education is to empower an individual to help improve his or her immediate environment and beyond.
Professor Ernest Ofori Asamoah, in-coming President of the Regent University College of Science and Technology, said this at the 14th Graduation Ceremony of the University in Accra.
He advised the new graduates to be principled and humble in all their endeavours, saying, life is always simple and easier if you are humble and principled .
Professor Asamoah noted that such qualities were indispensable to the country s quest to achieve food security, restore its vanishing natural resources, and chalk socio-economic progress on the whole. ....
