May 13, 2021, 14:59 IST The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), along with NGOs has launched the ‘Oxygen on Wheel’ initiative at Victoria Hospital on Thursday. This initiative has been taken up in order to provide oxygen to Covid patients waiting near hospitals. The transport utility has tied up with several NGOs, including Foundation India. It modified a non-AC bus into an oxygen bank with two concentrators and four cylinders, which will attend to six patients at a time. A similar facility was started in Chennai by Jain International Trade Organisation. Also Read: Officials said, The bus will be placed at Victoria Hospital from Thursday, 10.30 am to 6 pm.
