Marlo Ann Gade
Marlo Ann Gade, 89, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully June 8, 2021 at Northwood Deaconess Health Center. Marlo Ann Powers was born on November 7th, 1931 in Walhalla, ND to James and Gladys (Moore) Powers. Marlo attended grade and middle school in Walhalla until moving to Fargo with her mother and grandparents in 1945. Marlo graduated from Fargo Central High School and then attended Moorhead State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. She then taught Physical Education at Glenwood, Minnesota public schools before attending the University of North Dakota, where she completed a Master’s degree in physical education in 1957. After earning her Master’s degree, Marlo taught in the Department of Physical Education at UND from 1957 to 1964, initially as an instructor and later as an Assistant Professor. In addition to her teaching duties, Marlo was also involved in coaching women’s golf, softball, and other int ....

North Dakota Native Bowls His 2nd Perfect Game.
I have had this one running debate for years, Which is harder, hitting a hole-in-one in golf, or bowling a perfect game? - My answer will always be magical 300 . I have played both sports, and here is what I have observed, you can make the worst possible tee-shot, have your ball bounce 456 times towards the green, bounce off a tree, ricochet off an unlucky bird s head, and land close to the pin, and trickle in for an ugly ace. There is NO margin of error in knocking down twelve strikes in a row - heck your ball ends up in the gutter, and bye-bye, you are done. I have a friend who has been perfect many times over, and that still boggles my mind. ....
