Emily Barker is an award-winning singer-songwriter, best known as the writer and performer of the theme to the BBC s hugely successful BAFTA-winning crime drama Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh. Originally from Bridgetown, Western Australia, she now lives in the UK where she has released music as a solo artist as well as with various bands including The Red Clay Halo, Vena Portae and Applewood Road (with whom she released a remarkable album of original songs recorded live around a single mic

Award-winning songwriter Emily Barker is to play an intimate gig in Knaresborough this weekend.
Best known as the performer of the theme to BBC TV’s Wallander Emily’s latest album A Dark Murmuration of Words. has been warmly received by critics and her recent live stream performance with Frank Turner have seen her gain a new following despite the restrictions of the last 15 months.
Australian-born singer-songwriter, musician and composer Emily will be appearing at Henshaws Arts & Crafts Centre this Sunday night.
Joining Emily on the bill will be session musician, accompanist, producer and composer Lukas Drinkwater.
Barker, who lives in the UK has released four solo albums to date, as well as collaborations with The Red Clay Halo and Marry Waterson.
