On Thursday, 11 January, the University of Amsterdam celebrated its 392nd Dies Natalis. Rector Peter-Paul Verbeek addressed the importance of multilingualism at the university in his opening speech 'The Language of Science.' Professor of Oral Microbial Ecology Egija Zaura discussed the mouth as the foundation for everyone's health in her Dies speech.
