Sandwich's first and only medical marijuana dispensary to open soon

SANDWICH The first medical marijuana facility in town is expected to be open for business by late spring.
“We are excited to open,” said David Noble, president and CEO of Brockton-based In Good Health Inc., who has been working for four years to get permitting for the Sandwich project. “Very happy the town let us proceed with this.”
The medical marijuana dispensary is located at 449 Route 130, in three vacant office condos in a medical building. Construction on the facility is completed and the occupancy permit recently obtained from the town, with the provisional inspection and license from the Cannabis Control Commission the last step, Noble said. ....

MASHPEE, MA Two teenagers suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted after crashing their car into a boulder on off Echo Road in Mashpee.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m., Friday near Mashpee Pond and the Otis Air National Guard base. Emergency officials found a mangled sedan that crashed into a boulder as big as the car, police said.
The crash catapulted a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old from the car. Fire Chief Thomas Rullo told the Cape Cod Times. The dashboard and the car s engine landed on top of the teens, he said. ....

The San Diego Tourism Authority, Holiday Bowl and Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank will hold a food distribution event for those in the tourism and hospitality industry from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 12.
Each recipient in this drive-thru event will receive approximately 50 pounds of shelf stable items, produce and a frozen meat protein. Attendees will receive valuable resources on how to access other distributions close to their homes and information about CalFresh, including how to apply. ....

NYSEG Begins Circuit Upgrades To Vestal Customers
NYSEG has announced new circuit upgrades to customers in the Vestal area, the 623 distribution line will provide greater reliability to thousands.
According to a news release, NYSEG has begun work on the upgrade project to their electric distribution system, that will benefit over 7,000 customers in total.

The Vestal 623 circuit delivers power directly to 1,711 customers, and 5,500 customers on the connected circuit.
The upgrade is part of NYSEG’s resiliency program, that enhances safe and reliable service to its customers.
In the release, Andy Gumkowski, manager of Resiliency Field projects at NYSEG said “Once completed, these upgrades will strengthen the system against harsher more unpredictable weather, and better support the local communities we serve.” ....
