Through citizen science projects MDIFW biologists rely on community participation to help collect large amounts of data about fish, birds, reptiles, and more. As the spring rains fall, we begin to see frogs and salamanders migrate toward ponds and pools to lay their eggs. One important type of wetland is the temporary vernal pools.
