Raymond Feagles of East Bay Township has been sentenced to six months of jail time, pleading guilty in April to one charge of animal abandonment and cruelty of more than 25 animals. Those caring for the dogs involved, give their reaction to the news.
At the end of January, 164 neglected dogs were rescued from a large-scale breeding operation on the East Bay in Traverse City. The animals were found in deplorable conditions with little to no access to food, clean water, shelter, or any sort of medical care. They have been taken in by Cherryland Humane Society and other area shelters and will be up for adoption soon.
