good evening and welcome to the source. i m kaitlan collins. tonight, two more hostages have been free. 17 days after they were kidnapped by hamas. we ve just obtained new video of the two israeli women who were released, taken to a medical center in tel aviv tonight. they are 79-year-old nurit cooper, who you can see here, and 85-year-old yocheved lifshitz. they were both kidnapped with their husbands from the kibbutz nir oz near gaza on that deadly day. their husbands, i should note, were not released tonight and do remain captives of hamas. these women were released to the red cross at the rafah crossing between egypt and gaza. this happened just in the last several hours. this news comes three days after the release of judith and natalie raanan. that was last friday. now they are expected to be back on their way to the united states this week. over 200 hostages do still remain in gaza tonight, a number that we do know includes american citizens. cnn has now le ....
3:00 a.m. in tel aviv. two more hostages, more than 200 still being held, are on their way home. nurit cooper and yocheved lifshitz. both israeli citizens, both taken from their kibbutz on october 7. mrs. lifshitz and her husband are founding members of the kibbutz. she and mrs. cooper were handed over in southern gaza, where they each were examed by medics. now the medics telling an egyptian media outlet that mrs. kuiper and lifshitz were in stable condition. just a few moments ago, we got this video of a military helicopter carrying the two freed women now safely back here in israel. this comes with sources telling cnn that the biden administration has been pressing israel to delay its ground incursion into gaza to allow more time to get hostages out and humanitarian aid in from the south. that said, national security spokesman john kirby tells cnn tonight, quote, we don t believe this is the time for a ceasefire. there s certainly a lot to get to in the hour ahead. w ....
