St. Marys has received a well-sanitized helping hand as it continues to gradually reopen public spaces this week.
Daniel and Elena Lubimcev, owners of the town’s Canadian Tire location, have donated 160 litres of hand sanitizer to the effort.

“It’s been a learning curve with the supply chain to ensure all of our facilities are covered, especially in the early days of the pandemic when sanitizer was in very short supply,” Mayor Al Strathdee said in a press release Thursday. “Generous acts such as this demonstrate the importance of keeping our hands clean to our community, and how our residents have chosen to support one another during this pandemic.”
