I have read up a few news reports and commentaries on the Hohoe post-election challenge to the seismic victory of Mr. John Peter Amewu, the current Akufo-Addo-appointed Energy Minister, whose legitimate right to represent the people of the Hohoe Constituency, in the Volta Region, where he was born and brought up, is being fiercely challenged in court by some crusading fanatics in the pay of the country’s main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC). And here, it is significant to note that Mr. Amewu is a former bona fide member and local operative of the National Democratic Congress who crossed over to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the present ruling party and government, quite a while back. ....
