Increase costs from doctors and hospitals. and of course there is a nervousness about how new health care law will effect businesses. don t know how much more they can afford. i pay probably close to $700 a month just for myself. i think it s a lot of money. but, the problem is i don t know if it s too much or not enough. i don t know what the risks are. i mean, so i don t know the inside of the insurance company in that way. now, it s not just patients but doctors are affected, too. podiatrists got a huge rate incease last year right when his patients were complaining about their rates going up. as a result dr. weis and some of his colleagues are now mostly taking patients who can pay cash. these insurance companies are charging us more and paying us less. and where does it meet? my overhead keeps going up. my reimbursement goes down and that s why a lot of the doctors in this community don t take any insurance. ....
