The Congress is leading in two seats and the BJP in one seat in the initial rounds of counting of votes for three assembly seats in Rajasthan.
BJP s Deepti Maheshwari has won the bypolls to the Rajsamand assembly seat, while the Congress is leading in the by-elections to the Sahada and Sujangarh constituencies in Rajasthan, according to Election Commission figures.
Over 60.37 per cent voters had exercised their franchise in the April 17 by-elections to the Rajsamand, Sujangarh and Sahada assembly seats.

Polling was held on April 17 in the Rajsamand, Sujangarh and Sahada Assembly seats of the State. The Congress is leading in two seats and the BJP in one seat in the initial rounds of counting of votes for three assembly seats in Rajasthan. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI) statistics, BJP s Deepti Maheshwari is leading on the Rajsamand seat with 49.82 per cent of votes in her favour, whereas rival Congress Tansukh Bohara has so far got 46.43 per cent of votes.

Jaipur, May 2 : As counting for Rajasthan bypolls for three seats, namely, Sahada, Rajsamand and Sujangarh, started on Sunday from 8 a.m., Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot appealed to one and all to avoid any kind of celebration or gathering of crowd in the wake of the Covid pandemic.
In his tweet, CM said, Today, the results for bypolls will be declared. I appeal to all to avoid any kind of celebration, crowd gathering or lighting firecrackers. Disciplinary attitude is quite important at this point of time so political leaders, workers and winners should follow all guidelines and behave properly.
The Congress won the bypolls in Sahada and Sujangarh on Sunday and the BJP in Rajsamand, with both parties retaining the seats in Rajasthan that fell vacant after the death of their MLAs last year.
