Storms brought the rain, more precipitation ahead, weather service forecasts

Jeffrey Wood, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service's Sacramento office said Chico and surrounding valley areas saw about 2.35 inches of rain since Friday evening when the first storm came in. Foothill areas such as Paradise saw as much as 6.5 inches in that same timeframe.  ....
