president trump s u.n. ambassador, nikki haley told congress what u.s. intelligence has observed. they have seen activities similar to preparations of a chemical weapons attack, much like what we saw on april 4th. according to pentagon officials an aircraft center which once housed the syrian jet that carried out april chemical attack is once again in use. u.s. intelligence has also picked up increase in communications, by the syrian military unit responsible for chemical weapons. pentagon officials cautioned the intelligence does not add up to a smoking gun. still, the white house rushed out a statement. warning that if the regime of ba sheer al assad conducts another chemical attack he and his military will pay a heavy price. ambassador haley expanded that to include syria s two main allies. the goal is at this point, not just to send assad a message, but to send russia and iran a message. about the same time haley was making the statement, syria s assad was given a
