Trinity Health construction focuses on energy plant | News, Sports, Jobs

An energy plant that will heat, cool and power a future hospital and medical office complex is a focus of current construction at the Trinity Health site in southwest Minot.
A variety of work has been occurring at the construction site since Trinity held its groundbreaking ceremony in September 2018. Project completion isn’t expected until the end of 2023, but construction manager JE Dunn is aiming to finish the project’s Central Energy Plant by May. The plant will provide the lights, heating, cooling, water and other infrastructure needs of the complex. ....

FARGO A wheelchair-bound resident of Trinity Homes in Minot rolled herself outside to have a smoke on a bitter-cold day in February 2017.
The woman hadn’t checked out, so staff didn’t know she’d ventured outside in subzero cold. The woman wore a hat and an unfastened coat inadequate protection against the 6 below temperature.

To make matters worse, the woman’s wheelchair got stuck in a snowdrift. With the 10 mph wind, she could have gotten frostbite in 10 to 30 minutes, state health inspectors determined later. ....

Alice Gilpatrick, pictured with her son Bill Kloss, received a COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday at a Trinity Health clinic.
Some 924 patients were vaccinated for COVID-19 on Saturday, according to information provided by Trinity Health.
According to Trinity, more than 1,400 health care workers were vaccinated and more than 1,500 eligible patients were vaccinated since December. Vaccinations are being given based on the priority groups established by the North Dakota Department of Health.
The largest number of people were vaccinated on Saturday, according to Trinity.
“We look forward to every shipment we receive, and we’ll take as much vaccine as we can get for our region. Our goal is to vaccinate as many people as possible, as soon as possible. When we get vaccine doses, we act swiftly and deliberately to give them to people,” said Randy Schwan, Vice President at Trinity Health. “It is a little frustrating for our team an ....

The new Minot Area Chamber Economic Development Corporation elected board officers at its organizational meeting. Jonn Knecht of American Bank Center was selected to serve as the first chair for the new organization.
“It is an honor to be selected as the chair of the new organization. I’ve served on both the former Minot Area Chamber of Commerce and Minot Area Development Corporation boards and see many advantages in kicking off the year as one.” Knecht said. “It’s now time to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
