Holbert, a former Woodmere councilman who has been the village’s mayor since January 2018, has seen such a positive transformation on Woodmere Village Council that he has decided to seek re-election in November. ....
Orange Place hotel closed, sold CoStar The Beachwood Inn (formerly a Super 8 Motel as in the picture) has been sold for $3 million at an auction capping a foreclosure proceeding. The 125-room hotel has been closed and likely to be demolished, the new owner said. A real estate investment group with links to the Pinecrest mixed-use center in Orange has just expanded its holdings nearby. Walnut Hills LLC of Canonsburg, Pa., paid $3 million for the 1981-vintage economy hotel at 3795 Orange Place. The property went through foreclosure and was auctioned Feb. 2 on the internet. The transfer was effective Monday, March 8, according to Cuyahoga County land records. ....
