On May 3, a Randolph County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop on S. Main Street in Archdale. The driver, later identified as Evan Dale Parrish, continued traveling on S. Main Street and a pursuit ensued.
Upon approach to the intersection of N. Main St. and NC Highway 62, Parrish attempted to make a left turn onto Trindale Road, losing control of his vehicle causing him to collide with several vehicles in the Southbound lanes of travel.
Once Parrish regained control of his vehicle he continued to travel north on Main Street towards High Point. While in motion, the driver s door of the passenger car opened, Parrish exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Parrish was taken into custody. ....
