A six-year-old boy is thought to have suffered life-changing injuries in a crash involving a heavy goods vehicle in Leatherhead yesterday evening (April 14), police have said. The crash happened on the junction between between A245 Kingston Road and Randalls Road at around 5pm on Wednesday. An air-ambulance lifted the boy, who was walking with his family at the time, to a nearby hospital in the aftermath of the incident which unfolded in view of the nearby BP garage. In a statement describing what happened and appealing for witnesses, a spokesperson for Surrey Police said the boy had been taken to hospital by air ambulance suffering from serious leg injuries .
