Lebanese journalist Rami Naim said in an August 16, 2022 show on Voice of Lebanon Radio that Hizbullah fears domestic war more than it fears an external war, and that if Hizbullah does not allow Lebanon to become a sovereign country, then it should go to war, since the Lebanese people and Hizbullah cannot live together. He said that Hizbullah and its followers can “go die” and become martyrs for their cause, but that he wants his children to live.
