Philippines secures funding to build one of the world's longest marine bridges, spanning 32.15 kilometers across Manila Bay. The Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge aims to reduce travel time between provinces, cut logistics costs, and decongest Metro Manila. The project, under the Build Better More program, is set to cost US$3.91 billion, with financing from the Asian Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The bridge will boost regional economic integration, tourism, and serve as a main evacuation route during disasters. Construction is expected to be completed in five years.
