Jewellery shop robbed in Dhaka's Dhanmondi area

Around 9:00am today, security guards told us that the shop was looted. We rushed there and saw the locks were broken and shutters of the shop are open, Amit told The Daily Star.
CCTV footage shows that two-three persons, covering their faces, entered the shop and ransacked everything, he said.
We suspect 500 tola of gold ornaments were looted. We need time to assess the actual amount, he said.
On information, a team of police was sent to the spot, said Assistant Sub-inspector Jahangir Alam, duty officer of Dhanmondi Police Station.
