Youth arrested for abducting 6-year-old; got acquainted with child’s father a year ago Star Digital Report Star Digital Report Police arrested a youth from Dhaka s Keraniganj area early today, on charge of abducting a six-year-old boy and demanding Tk 1.2 lakh from his family as ransom. A team of police arrested Nazmul Sheikh (22) and rescued the child, Zubair, from Kaliganj Bazar area around 4:00am, said Mohammad Shahjahan, a sub-inspector of Demra Police Station. The SI said Nazmul got acquainted with victim s father Rajib Bhuiyan while he was commuting on latter s auto-rickshaw a year ago. Upon hearing that Rajib s son was unwell, Nazmul visited the child and bought some medicine and fruits for him. Thus, he developed a relationship with the family, the SI said, quoting Zubair s family members. ....
