Police sub-inspector Basavraj Chitte, who works with the Yerawada traffic division, has been booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The complainant owns a business of hoardings and advertising, therefore he requires the NOCs of the traffic depart- ment to install and place advertising hoardings in various areas in the city. The complainant wanted to place hoardings in the Yerawada area, therefore he had approached PSI Chitte. The officer demanded Rs 3.60 lakh to issue the traffic department NOC. ....
