The bodies are decomposed and police suspect it to be of the workers on the barge P-305 that sank off Mumbai coast during cyclone Tauktae. The bodies have started decomposing and its identification could not be done. Police sent the bodies for post mortem and based on the report police will carry out further investigation. Two bodies were found on the coast near Dungri village while three were found at Tithal beach near Valsad. Locals alerted police about the bodies after which police launched a search in the area to check if other bodies have also washed ashore in Valsad. ....

Police recovered 18 vials from the accused duo Surat: Special operation group (SOG) of Valsad police nabbed two people from Vapi on Thursday for allegedly selling remdesivir injection vials unauthorized. Police recovered 18 vials from the accused who were selling each vial for Rs 12,000. Police arrested Varun Kundra and Manish Singh, both residents of Nani Daman in Union Territory of Daman and Diu. The accused were booked for cheating under Indian Penal Code along with various sections of Essential Commodities Act, Disaster Management Act and Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Based on specific information, police laid a decoy trap and contacted Kundra, a furniture shop owner in Daman. Kundra offered to sell the injection for Rs 12,000 per vial. The buyer agreed and asked Kundra to deliver the vials after which he was nabbed from near UPL Bridge in Vapi while coming to deliver the 12 vials. ....

Body of Ratilal Patel was found in his residential quarters in Bhilad police line just behind the police station he was posted. Considered to be very sincere and polite, Patel was transferred to Dharampur a few days ago as per his request. However, Patel did not go to job on Saturday and all calls to him by his colleagues went unanswered since the morning. Police checked at his residence and found it locked from inside.
