An Islamabad anti-terrorism court on Thursday remanded the Osama Satti murder case suspects in judicial custody and ordered the investigation officer (IO) to submit the case challan.
Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) personnel arrested in the Osama Satti murder case were present in the court of ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand as Judge Raja Jawwad Abbas Hassan was on vacation.
The judge ordered sending the arrested suspects, namely Mudassar Iqbal, Shakeel Ahmed, Mohammad Mustafa, Saeed Ahmed and Iftikhar Ahmed, to Adiala Jail.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family members staged a peaceful protest outside the judicial complex. ....

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - An Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) has granted further three-day physical remand of the accused arrested in connection with student Usama Satti murder in Islamabad.
According to details, Usama Satti murder case was heard in Islamabad High Court (IHC), during which the senior anti-terrorism judge remarked that how much more remand will be taken, the 22-day physical remand has already been completed.
Lawyer Raja Faisal Younis said that the investigating officer has been changed at our request, the investigation is moving forward, progress is also being made and more remand is required for investigation. JIT is also doing its job, he added. ....

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad censured the police for its handling of evidence in the Osama Satti murder case on Wednesday, remarking that the police seemed to be siding with the suspects.
ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan presided over the hearing in which the five suspects, all of whom are policemen, were presented in court in the murder case of Osama Satti.
Osama was killed on Jan 2 on Kashmir Highway after police opened fire at his car and he received multiple bullet wounds. Police said they mistook the 21-year-old student s car for that of a fleeing robber but his father claims they intentionally targeted him over a previous verbal altercation. ....
