These pockets are seeing heatwave conditions and will continue to see temperatures like this along with other parts of East India in the absence of any system. For the next 3-4 days, expect conditions to be there and temperatures to be on the higher side.
The onset of Monsoon seems to be a little delayed, therefore there are chances of delay over eastern parts of the country as well but we have to wait and see how things unfold.
We at Skymet want to alert the people of these States about upcoming heavy showers, strong winds, and lightning strikes. Temperature will subside leading to abatement of heatwave. Weather will start clearing up from May 29 and temperatures will once again start increasing.
Weather activities will intensify on May 23 and widespread rain ad thundershowers will be seen from May 24, covering parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha, continuing until the end of May.
The violent thunderstorm and thundershowers are known as Kal-Baisakhi in local parlance. These weather activities are expected to continue for at least the next 7 to 8 days. Temperatures will subside and there will be relief from hot weather conditions.
