Paul neil we are getting details on the texas Helicopter Crash at the Mexican Border the killed three national guardsmen. Jeff paul has more from texas. Reporter investigators are still trying to figure out what went wrong. There are four people on board, three were killed, two being soldiers, one of them are Us Border Patrol agents. 1 4 person, the only survivor, was a soldier who was injured and is in critical condition, happening friday afternoon in texas, a small town in the rio grande valley, they were flying the uh 72 lakota helicopter. It was a federal support mission and this was not related texass operation lone star. We spoke with Chris Cabrera who had this to say about the ongoing crash investigation. Florida/georgia/alabama border by the time we get to the 6:00 hour. so a lot of people will maybe be driving home from work and you re going to be in the middle of a hurricane. this will most likely be at least a category 2 by the time it crosses into georgia. and, of course, it is going to produce very heavy rain. it still has tremendous amount of wind with it. and also tornadoes. that s one thing we have to look for, as well. there s an extreme wind warning in place, and that s basically a long-standing tornado warning, because winds are going to be as strong as a tornado would be. and so you have those extreme wind warnings in place. we have a lot of trees in the panhandle, as well as georgia. we are going to see a lot of trees go down, the power lines go down, as well. we had 130-mile-an-hour gusts at tendell air force base today before the gauge broke. winds much higher than that. we had reports of winds well over 100 all across the panhandle. and as we go forward in time, look at ....

these beaches had been closed for people to get into the water, and we talked to a life guard just the other day about the strong rip currents that they are concerned about. take a listen. so i see the white caps out there. is that safe for a person to get into the water? no. it is not. the thing is with closing water completely, you let somebody knee deep they want to get waist deep. you let them waist deep they want to go in. reporter: what is a rip current? it s a channel of water pulls out to sea, too much water close to the shore, rip current will pull you out to sea, it s gravity. rip current will pull you out 20 to 150 yards at eight to ten miles an hour. reporter: we saw a lot of people out on the beach yesterday, no one was allowed in the water. the life guards made sure no one got in with the concern about rip currents. george howell for us this morning, thank you. we ll continue to check in with you throughout the morning to get updates. let s go to ....
