Community spaces take out top honours at 2023 AILA National Awards

Works start on Timboon town centre project
Stage three of a multi-year project to revitalise Timboon’s town centre has started with works to replace the footbridge across Power Creek.
The Timboon Town Centre Activation Project will focus on the southern end of the town centre near the pool with 30 new car parks.
The car park next to IGA will be extended and the Lambert Street car park opposite the pool will be modified to accommodate the extra parks.
New footpaths, drainage works, tree planting, lighting, picnic and street furniture will be installed along Power Creek, highlighting the natural features connecting the town centre to the swimming pool. ....

The beloved Season Feast Southern Downs markets are spicing things up as they move into bigger location and rebrand on the back of more people choosing local produce.
The markets have been held in the Farley St Piazza for six years, but now the team is moving to the Railway Precinct come March 5.
While the Piazza was a loved venue, co-op store manager Bridget Ryan said the markets were growing out of room there.
‘(Farley St) has a beautiful space with the mural and landscaping and it’s nice to be amongst the middle of town but we’ve outgrown that location,” Ms Ryan said. ....
