Celebrate some tasty treats with a pair of festivals happening in the area this weekend. Starting Friday and running through Saturday, Aledo's Rhubarb Festival will be held in the community's central park and feature live music on both days, model train displays, crafts and flea markets, and baked goods for sale. Come early tomorrow for the Aledo Volunteer Firemen's breakfast that will include Rhubarb toppings or take in the Lil' Rhubarb Royalty Pageant. The traveling miniature Vietnam Tribute Wall is also on full display in Aledo and will be there until Sunday. CDC COVID-19 guidelines will be in place. Saturday is also the 33rd Annual Elmwood Strawberry Festival running from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in and around Central Park in downtown Elmwood.
