A MAN died after stepping out in front of a train and getting struck at a pedestrian crossing in Sandown, an inquest heard on Tuesday. Levi James Mulholland, 28, of Medeway, Lake, died at the scene of the Drabbles Mansion near Los Altos Park on May 15, 2020. Coroner Caroline Sumeray concluded the death was due to misadventure, citing three factors that contributed. Mr Mulholland was wearing headphones and listening to music at a high volume, he had traces of cannabis and other medication in his system which may have dulled his reactions, and he didn t look either way when he stepped onto the railway tracks.
