Cole, aged 18, was shot once in the chest following a pursuit between two vehicles on Chesham Road on the evening of Wednesday, August 12 last year. Kamran Mohammed, 20, Mohammed Izaarh Khan, 22, and Khayam Ali Khurshid, 29, were all convicted of the teenager’s murder following a trial earlier this year. Each man was also found guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A teenage boxer was shot dead by mistake after he was caught up in a macho man love triangle feud between two other men, a court heard. Cole Kershaw, 18, was shot in the chest and killed after his best friend Spencer Woods was targeted in a pursuit between two vehicles in Bury, Greater Manchester.  As he lay dying in the street on August 12, Cole told 19-year old Woods: He shot me bro, he shot me, before eventually succumbing to his injuries. Manchester Crown Court heard how Woods had become embroiled in a dispute with Kamran Mohammed, 20, because the pair had been dating the same girl.

Today (Friday, May 21 2021) Kamran Mohammed, Mohammed Izaarh Khan, and Khayam Ali Khurshid, - all from Bury - were sentenced to life after being found guilty of Cole s murder. Manchester Crown Court (Crown Square) heard how Mohammed, of Kingsdale Close, fired the fatal shot from a .22 caliber pistol that struck Cole once in the chest while he was running away from a silver BMW that was pursuing him and his friends.
