We faced challenges and we persevered 2020 started out as a year of hopes and dreams for my son to be born. He was due June 11. Baby showers were planned and the spare room needed to be demolished in order to prepare for this miracle. On March 20, the lockdown began. Things got real and soon after I went into labor. The hospital entrance was blocked by a COVID-19 tent. My son was born 2 pounds, 13 ounces, rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit and stayed until May 31 (my husband’s birthday).
