In a surprising turn of events, the federal government will remain open, after Congress Managed to passed a lastminute stopgap measure late last night. Less than just three hours before funding is set to run out, the Senate Overwhelmingly voted in favor of a shorter funding bill that was rushed to the house floor by speaker Kevin Mccarthy earlier in the day. Then, shortly before midnight last night, President Biden signed a Bill Into Law and in a statement, he called the whole episode, quote, a manufactured crisis. Now, this lastminute agreement will keep the government funded, and existing Spending Levels until friday, November 17th. And it authorizes additional money to be set aside for Disaster Relief. However, what it does not do is include funding for ukraine aid. This was a key Sticking Point for democrats.
