Members of the Christian County school board heard an update on the Racial Educational Equity Plan during the Thursday night workshop meeting. Before the plan was presented, Jada Poindexter, an 11th grader at Hopkinsville High School, declared February as Black History Month for the school district. Superintendent Chris Bentzel said the committee formed and went to work over the summer to create the plan.
