COVID-19 threatened her senior year before protocols allowed Boyer and her Sheridan teammates to compete.
The opportunity was not lost on Boyer, who has been attending classes at All Starz Gymnastics in Thornville since she was 18 months old for the mother and me class with her mom, Becky.
This is the Generals fifth straight trip to the team gymnastics state meet, which is held on Friday, while the individual state competition is Saturday at Hilliard Bradley.
We worked all summer and came together as a team,  said Boyer, who will compete on the beam in the individual meet. I m extremely grateful we had a season. You never know if it s going to be a good or bad season, but we wanted to have fun and make it a season to remember. ....
