Clearing The Interest Subvention

Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha approved the further release of Rs 250 crore as Interest Subvention, part of the economic package for revival of business and industry in J&K, and handed over a cheque of the said amount to Jammu and Kashmir Bank as the third instalment of the 5% Interest Subvention, an official spokesman in Jammu said. It was the third instalment. The government of J&K had already released Rs 500 crore so far, and with the third instalment of Rs 250 crore as 5% Interest Subvention was released as part of the overall package of Rs 1353 crore. The Interest Subvention has so far provided immense relief to 3.44 lakh borrowers in the current Covid-19 crisis. The crisis-ridden White House will have two Kashmir women when Joe Biden will take over, next week. After Kashmir born Ayesha Shah, now it is Sameera Fazili who will be Joe Biden’s Deputy Director of National Economic Council. Ms Fazili, a mother of three, will be focusing on manufacturing, innovation and domestic competition. She goes to the White House from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta where she was Director of engagement for the community and economic development. Prior to joining the Atlanta Fed, she had served as a senior policy adviser at the White House’s National Economic Council where she covered retirement, consumer finance, and community and economic development. Before joining the government, Fazili was a clinical lecturer at Yale Law School’s community and economic development clinic, where she helped start a CDFI bank and a local anti-foreclosure initiative, and expanded the clinic’s work to inter ....

As the year’s first snowfall draped Kashmir, beginning on January 2, life came to a standstill with people and the administration both choosing to stay homes till sunshine brought back the sheen to the streets.
The people reacted to the snowfall as per their own requirements: tourists were happy that they will have fun;
Harisa-makers were excited that they will have better footfalls; workers in PDD, SMC, and the PHE had their share of the crisis in managing the impact of the mess. People, by and large, were tense because snow, especially a heavier fall, seriously compromises the services. SRINAGAR: As Kashmir witnessed the first snowfall of New Year, 2021, life went out of the gear completely. The snow falling on trees and terraces of the houses saw the wobbly rooftops being collapsed. Besides, other winter vulnerabilities, connectivity emerged as the major issue, both in urban and rural Kashmir. However, amid, hazards of the white blanket, there was a scene of excitement as well.
