You may have heard the phrase, “Capital follows talent and talent follows place.” I most recently encountered it in an article by Quint Studer, who emphasized the importance of this concept. Now more than ever, communities that create a great place to live and work are winning in the game of economic development.
To the chamber, “economic development” goes beyond shovel-ready land; it means creating a vibrant community that talent is drawn to and where people, especially younger people, want to build a life. One of the key ways that our community can achieve this is through public policy advocacy.
